Teak Parquet Floor Sanding & Restoration – Hull

Hull

Project type

Parquet Floor Sanding & Restoration

This teak parquet floor in Hull had been hidden beneath carpet for around 20 years, leaving the original surface coating tired and the natural colour of the wood dulled. Once exposed, the floor required a full professional restoration to bring it back to life.
The old coating was completely removed, and the floor was sanded using a progressive sanding sequence from 40 grit through to 120 grit to achieve a smooth, even surface. Any gaps between the parquet blocks were filled using a resin mixed with fine sanding dust taken from the floor itself, helping the repairs blend naturally with the surrounding wood.
Once sanding was complete, the parquet floor was sealed with a natural oil finish to enhance the rich colour and grain of the teak while providing durable protection. The finished result is a restored parquet floor with warmth, character, and a natural appearance suited to everyday living.
This type of teak parquet floor sanding and restoration is an ideal way to revive original wooden floors in properties throughout Hull without the need for replacement.
